Robert LeFort
Robert LeFort was appointed as CEO of Ember in April 2006. Most recently, he was the President of Infineon Technologies North America Corp. in June 2002, with responsibility for all headquarters business activity and key customers. Earlier, he was Vice President Infineon's Automotive & Industrial business, managing business development and relationships with companies using Infineon chips for dynamic vehicle management, engine control, automotive safety systems and related applications. Before joining Infineon in 2000, LeFort was Customer Manager at Delphi Corporation, a Tier One automotive electronics supplier, and held positions at Cherry Semiconductor (now part of ON Semiconductor), Unitrode Corporation and Analog Devices. He holds an MBA from Boston University and a BSEE from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
Skip Ashton
Skip brings over 15 years of experience in new product development to his role as Vice president of Engineering. Skip is responsible for management of the Ember chip design, hardware, software and quality assurance teams. Prior to joining Ember, Skip was Director of Engineering at MPM/Speedline producing screen printers for electronics manufacturing and Manager of Program Management at Avici Systems producing high speed internet routers. Skip graduated with a mechanical engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and spent 5 years in the US Navy Nuclear Program.
Keith Batchelder
As Vice President of Operations, Keith is responsible for Ember’s external supplier relationships. Ember Operations uses the latest tools and philosophies in managing its Supply Chain. Ember Operations includes all aspects of Manufacturing, Information Technology (IT), Facilities, and Corporate Quality. Keith brings to Ember over 20 years of high technology acquisition experience. Prior to joining Ember, Keith was the Director of Operations at Chinook Communications. Previously, Keith was Director of Worldwide Acquisition for 3Com Corporation. Keith has held high-tech management positions in companies including- Solectron, EMC, Digital Equipment Corporation and Wang Labs. Keith holds a B.S. in Finance earned at the University of Rhode Island and a Masters Degree earned at Northeastern University in Boston.
Bob Gohn
Bob Gohn has over 20 years experience in the communications industry, working in both semiconductor and networking equipment companies. Prior to joining Ember, Bob led Freescale Semiconductor’s strategy and business development efforts for the Networking and Computing Systems Group. Bob joined Freescale through Motorola’s acquisition of C-Port Corporation in 2000, a leading network processing start-up, where he served as Vice-President of Marketing. Prior to Freescale and C-Port, Bob held a number of marketing and engineering positions at companies including 3Com, Standard Microsystems Corporation, Raycom Systems, Netways, and Hazeltine. Bob holds an MSEE from Polytechnic University and a BEEE from Stony Brook University.
Jim Sheehan
Jim has more than 20 years of financial and operations management experience in software, services and manufacturing. Jim was most recently the CFO at Demantra which was sold to Oracle in June 2006. In his role at Demantra, Jim was responsible for all aspects of finance, human resources and IT services. Jim has extensive M&A experience in both selling and acquiring companies. Prior to joining Demantra, Jim held senior finance positions at Neteos, BISYS Networking Services, Network Integrity, EMC and Epoch Systems. Jim holds a BBA in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University.
