Ember is looking for a junior level Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to work with our embedded wireless networking systems and GUI networking software. You will be part of a small, highly skilled team in which every member is critical for the success of the product. The ideal candidate shall have experience in C, Java, and Perl. We are looking for creative, flexible, pragmatic, individuals with superb communications skills and a love of problem solving in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities
• Run and expand the automated regression test suite and smoke test
• Run regular builds of the Ember embedded software stack and sample applications
• Maintain and expand our duration and scale test set up
• Help with execution of functional, negative, performance, and stress tests against the
Ember’s embedded ZigBee wireless mesh network, sample applications and tools
• Help to maintain and expand Ember’s ZigBee test network
• Work closely with the customer team to reproduce and solve customer-related issues

Requirements
• 0-3 years of work experience
• Experience using C, Java, and scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Java
scripting
• Ability to communicate well and work closely with a small cross-functional team
• Experience in a startup environment a plus
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field

Candidates will be asked to:
• Describe in as much detail as legally feasible their involvement in and contribution to
the projects and products they believe qualify them for the job
• Demonstrate analytical problem-solving, general scientific and programming skills
• Candidate will be asked to submit a programming example
